DJ Minglemixx
It was 16 years ago this May, 2007, that DJ Mingle Mixx busted his first dance move as a backup dancer for Tampa rap group pioneers DeMonae' (pronounced Day Monay). Since then he's been a hype man, dancer, rapper, promoter, and DJ. With verses and scratches on DeMonae and Boyz Wit Da Bass successful albums, he's established himself as an ICON in the Tampa hip hop community. He's DJ'd and performed at EVERY MAJOR CLUB in the Tampa Bay area including Empire, Amphitheater, The Seminole Hard Rock and Casino, and The Full Moon Saloon. He's had long, prosperous residencies at Kasey's Cove, La Cueva, The Coliseum, Bahasa Lounge, Stroker's Billiard's, and Jackson's Bistro on Harbour Island. He's done college radio on WBUL
(USF!) and appearances on Tampa's Community Radio leader 88.5. He's done music videos. He's done Super Bowl parties and is the OFFICIAL DJ at Matt Geiger's 25,000-square foot Big Daddy's Ranch and Casino. He's performed in front of 40,000 strong at The Charlotte Coliseum at halftime of a Charlotte Hornets' Basketball Game. He's DJ'd in Miami, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Charlotte NC, Vienna, Austria, and the ATL. He's opened for such industry heavyweights as RUN-DMC, DJ LAZ, LUKE SKYYWALKER, DJ SKRIBBLE, and THE 69 BOYZ.
Recently, he's probably most famous for being "The Relatively Offical Host" of the Hooters Bikini Contests along with T-Quest World Famous from Tampa to Lakeland to Orlando to Ocala to Gainesville to Daytona Beach. On the scene for the last 6 years. (Spring '07 dates on his website).
He's spent time as part of the WBTP 95.7 The Beat's Holiday Mixshow Staff.
CURRENTLY he can be found in the studio working on tracks with Boyz Wit Da Bass to be featured on The Bubba The Love Sponge Show on Sirius Satellite Radio. He was also just added as a contributing columnist and editor to Jook Magazine and Illmortal SL Magazine (please send questions on love, life, and this rap game to AksMingle@gmail.com ). He recently hosted the internet hit radio show The Tampa Solar Show ( www.TampaSolarShow.com ). Along with T-Quest he forms The Booze Brothers ( www.myspace.com/TheBoozeBrothers411 ) and is hosting the 2007 Hooters Bikini Contests (dates TBA) and a weekly Hawaiin Tropic Bikini Contest at Gators on the Pass in Treasure Island/St. Pete Beach ( www.GatorsCafe.com ) EVERY SUNDAY. Mondays he can be found at Bahasa Lounge ( www.BahasaLounge.com ) for the CRUNKEST HIP HOP NIGHT
